  1. Hey there, Elizabeth! What a prolific reader. Thanks for doing all of these reviews. I am the author of "The Last of the Blacksmiths," a book Emily Hollingsworth sent to you quite a while ago. I can only imagine what your TBR stack looks like these days, but wanted follow up. I've just been on an "Ohio tour" -- over a year after the book's release, that went very well. As they say, this book seems to have legs. Thanks again, Elizabeth. Love your site, and I'm headed to Scotland end of May so those pics are especially inspiring. ;0)

    1. I apologize for not replying here, but I did get back to Emily and tell her that I couldn't get interested in the book.

Ohhhh...I hope you had a wonderful time in Scotland.

      Thanks for stopping, Claire.

    1. Hello Ruth:

So glad you found the link to my blog.

I usually only read four books a month.

I am sure it will take me a lifetime to read all of the books in my list. :)

THANKS so much for stopping by, Ruth.

  6. Hi Elizabeth,

I am late in responding to the Friendly Fill-Ins from this past Friday and see that your comments are closed for that post. Life kind of exploded here at our house last week, but I'm here for the moment.

Did you enjoy being part of a big family? I think big families are great. My mama was #5 out of 7 children. My grandma had 2 boys and 5 girls. :) My mama had me, my twin brothers, and then our little sister. Of our surviving children, we also have two boys and two girls. Some folks that I know think a family is huge even with just one child. That's just getting started. haha

    Have a blessed week!

    1. It was a lot of fun having eight children in our family.

We have four boys and four girls.

We were always busy doing something. I am sure my mother did that to keep us out of mischief. :)

      Thanks for stopping, Suzanne.
